This has to be one of the best books I have ever read. It is heart wrenching, heart breaking, and heart warming all in the same collection of pages.
The starting of the book is dark and makes you feel as broken as the main characters. The depth of their hurts is unwavering. And you wish so badly for them to find light, together. It doesn’t happen. The middle of the book is a roller coaster on its own. The back stories you learn. The tragedies the characters face/faced. The love that is withheld year after year.
But the end. Oh my god, the end is absolutely astonishing. The resolution of the lives you’ve become so deeply invested in. The PLOT TWIST in the last few pages.
This book is it. I don’t think I’ll ever love a story as raw and dark as I love this one. Absolutely a masterpiece I’m thrilled I finally read.

i teared up/cried a couple of times.
I was so shook Kellan unalived... and that the book wasn't between him and Charlotte. It's like the whole synopsis I read went was immediately forgotten LOL
I don't know if I really liked Charlotte and Tate. I may just be an age gap trope hater (except for like 1000 years old vampire or fae HAHAH) but it just wasn't working for me. I also just don't think they've worked through enough of their personal trauma for them to work together. Their connection is literally Kellan... idk, i may be thinking too much into this.
