I picked this up because I hadn't read any Wodehouse and my sister really likes it, and I am glad I did. It was a very quick, clever read, and I expect I will check a few more volumes out of the library.
Just a bit of silliness. VERY British. I liked best the slang that I'm not used to: "bean" for head/brain, "gooseflesher" for a murder mystery book.

Very cute fast weekend read that is doable in one setting. It is defintely a period piece and of its time but the comedy is still there. I feels like I listened to a old-time radio serial. It was fun and I learned a lot of new words. I also love stepping into another time for a while and see how many things are luxuriously missed and how many things i'm so glad are gone for good!
I hadn’t read any Jeeves and Wooster apart from a Christmas short story and had read/heard this was one of the best. There is some questionable language and sensibilities that are unfortunately common with books of this age and setting, but I did enjoy how the chaos and shenanigans ramped up through the book. A perfect introduction to the the duo I think.
