I had planned on putting this series on hold temporarily to read another book that launched to the top of my reading list, but then Aaronovitch had to end the story THAT WAY, so I guess I'm moving right in to book five.
Well played, sir.

I'd say the series so far is easy reading. I don't feel hugely invested in the characters and the ones I like the most aren't in it as much. This book was okay, and the ending does add a bit of oomph to the story. I also enjoyed the river god and goddess fair. I have the other books so I will continue with it but I don't see it drastically improving. But it's entertaining enough.

Bloody hell this series is getting intense but oh my goodness it's SLOW! This is book four and not a single arcing storyline, romance or magic secret has been resolved or explained yet. Frustrating!
