It wasn’t bad. I liked the beginning more than near the end where it started to drag (by end I really mean like chapter 15 or something). Grace was an interesting character and it was refreshing to have a character in this series that already has an idea of how the supernatural world works (it was kinda weird to read a romance with FMC that shares my name though lol).

I really wish we could’ve gotten more about why Grace’s mom disappeared after coming to the demon realm but that didn’t come into play til near the end so that was kind of a let down. And if I’m being honest, I didn’t really feel much chemistry between Bram and Grace (but please take that with a grain of salt as I’m asexual and that tends to skew how I view attraction). I did like that Grace was the dominant one in the relationship (idk much about dom/sub relationships or BDSM and don’t have too much experience with the romance genre to know for sure but it seems to me that a lot of romances—read ‘straight romances’— have men be the dominant one so kudos to that—bare minimum, I’m aware😅). And also having a discussion on how no one should have kids to keep people together or just to have one person be happy.

I know I critiqued Grace not getting the info on her mom til later—I still stand by that—but I was shocked when Bram revealed she was the woman that killed his whole family. In hindsight, it makes sense given the fact we kept bringing up the event. It kind of felt a little rushed though since the reveal didn’t occur til chapter 23😅

Anyway, I'm excited to read The Demon’s Bargain (I’ve been reading this series out of order) as Ramanu/Lenora has been teased in several books and it’s the last book I need to read.

A rivals-to-lovers story with a heartfelt progression, even if their love started a little toxic, I found myself enjoying this book more than I expected to starting off! While the middle lulled a little, this is a quick read with some generally loveable characters who do truly love each other.

Wow… I did not expect to cry over monster smut, but here we are. While parts of this one were HEAVY, the character development and plot were there. Bram and Grace were likable and didn’t shy away from recognizing themselves and their character flaws. They also had a really good understanding of what it meant when the other was trying to hurt them.

The smut is intense and those content warnings are not a joke, though. I did have to skip a couple things because it got to be A Lot. However, this is one that works even if you’re not reading the smut, which is great and shows a lot of growth from Court of the Vampire Queen.

Solid four stars, won’t be recommending to my mom or anyone I want to look in the eye ever again, though. So, internet, definitely read this if you’re not triggered by anything in the CW.

This is not a book that you read for the plot. But it has lots of twists and turns and a ton of sexy scenes. I highly recommend for anyone who is very interested in smut. Otherwise you’re not gonna have a good time. It was very fun

Honestly this is the best of this series since The Dragon’s Bride. I liked the characters’ development, though the final chapter felt very abrupt and I would have liked an epilogue. Probably the best sex scenes of the series though.

The Gargoyle's Captive is a thrilling and seductive paranormal romance that kept me on the edge of my seat. The intricate world building and passionate romance between the captivating gargoyle and his human captive make for an irresistible and addictive read.

Once again Katee Robert's has written a banger, but once again it's too short.

For example. Their sexy violent times aren't properly re examined (imo) under a true guise of a relationship. I wanted to see them together as a solid pairing, working to fix up Bram's realm. I feel like I just expect that her books are set up SO WELL and SO deeply and then it finishes like 75% into what should be the story. Like the 3rd act drama actually happened at exactly 90% which is NOT enough time to get through the extremely deep trauma that drama brought!
