This review is for Star Mate Seduced by Margo Bond Collins. This was a short and sweet story about Lucy, a human, and Jalek, an alien who can shift into a pink leopard. It was fast paced and kept my interest, especially since I'm not usually one for short stories. I really enjoyed this, and look forward to reading more stories in this compilation.

This collection was a good introduction to a whole slew of authors whose work I had never read before. There were a few stories that were on the darker side, and I didn't finish reading those. The ones I enjoyed the most were the ones I would call "abduction lite", where the heroes were grabbing brides for noble reasons and/or the heroines didn't exactly object to being stolen. There were even a few stories, like "Felmorax" by Star Wing, that I wouldn't even classify as abduction because the women were aware of the aliens and volunteered to be brides or breeders. Although all the stories had sex on the page, there were a couple that were straight-up erotica and didn't even pretend to be romances.
The only downside to this collection was that almost all the stories were prequels to new series for the authors and the first installments won't be released until 2021. I was disappointed to find out that I would have to wait six months to a year to continue reading my favorites. Luckily there are plenty of other books out there for me to read while I wait!

This is a short story to begin the series. I thought it was a very well laid out short story. I found the characters interesting and the story kept my interest. There was a sex scene in it. I would recommend the one I read the Margo Bond Collins story, Star Mate Seduced.
