As Jack Reacher goes, this might be the best I've read, yet.
I will say going in that this is the first Reacher novel I have read and I wasn't sure how I would like it being that military, cia, spy or government based novels aren't really my thing....but I loved this book!!! I didn't realize at first that the Jack Reacher movie was based on this novel, but now that I know, I look forward to watching it. I will still say that some of the talk about gun specifics or other things that someone with a military background might know did not appeal to me, but the mystery part was fantastic. There were a lot of twists & turns and I love how everything tied together in the end. I also love Jack Reacher's personality....confident & somewhat cocky, but intelligent & sarcastic. I would definitly recommend this to anyone looking for a good mystery novel. Not sure I will read more in the series, but all in all, this was a great book!

Classic Reacher. Tom Cruise is too 6'4" and 250 pounds!
A fast paced thriller that was easy to read, but had a few twists to keep everything interesting.
I know many people have already said it but here goes Tom Cruise was not right for this role! The 5'6 slim built Tom Cruise playing 6 foot plus 200 pound Jack Reacher. AAAARRGGHH ok rant over!!

Six shots, five people are killed. The police believe they have their man, it seems like an air tight case only the guy won't talk except for one phrase 'get Jack Reacher for me.'
It's a typical Jack Reacher story, fast paced and high action butt kicking.
It might not be great literature but if you like his others you won't be disappointed.

I borrowed Lee Child's One Shot while visiting a friend's home; I first read it when it was originally published. Child's Jack Reacher as always takes readers on a trip into violence and retribution. This outing is built around a mass shooting in a midwestern city, in which evidence quickly leads to a former military sniper. Reacher, himself a one-time Army MP investigator, knew the shooter from a past incident, and arrives to make sure that this time, the shooter goes down for his crime.
There is a big twist in the proceedings, so I'll just say that this is a page turner that Child's fans should enjoy.
