Difficult to judge as a thriller as I came to this one having seen the film first, so all the twists and turns came as no surprise. The usual Reacher fare, probably one of the better ones in the series, but also possibly a rare case of the film being better than the book it was based on...

One of the things I like about this series is that you get pretty much what you expect. - a fun action story that is a quick and entertaining read. Not much more than that.

Not one of my favorite Reacher stories, but it passed the time. Maybe 2+ stars.

This was the first book I've read of this series (someone gave me a stack of them the other week.) Continuity, like many detective series, does not really seem important here so starting with the 9th book of the series didn't seem to hinder me much.

As far as detective novels go, I enjoyed this one. It does not do much beyond the typical here, the protagonist is still a large middle aged male who is smarted than most (and of course handsome enough to develop relationships here and there.) The big differences for this protagonist is that he is ex-military (although he was an MP,) and basically a hobo.

The latter fact is what makes these books easy to pick up in any order, I've read about 3 of them and they feature a new cast of supporting characters each time as Reacher is basically a bum who owns nothing and wanders town to town. Sounds weird, but it kind of works.

The setup for this book is good, and the pacing is closer to a thriller than a straight detective novel. The mystery itself was not that deep, but there were some twists and the ending was more violence/thriller than uncovering the end of the mystery. Still was a fun read.

An interesting plot. The movie version was more action than the novel. But the movie had different characters. It was more smooth sailing for Reacher in this novel, especially the climax

Do sada - meni zanimljiv triler.

I enjoyed this book, and thought it might be a little more complex than many of his stories, but still typical Jack Reacher. The only thing that bothers me is the number of times the author says "Reacher said nothing." I get tired of being told that over and over - if he said nothing, then he said nothing, and there's really no need to keep pointing it out. But it seems to be common in many of the books, and perhaps it's the fact that I'm reading audiobook versions, and the narrator has a way or emphasizing this phrase, it seems

Another very good thriller from Lee Child. Every Reacher novel is compelling reading it seems.
