Talk about a hateable character! Davenpor must have come out from under a rock in a dark, dark cave.

Sometimes I feel like the characters miss things they ought to notice or conveniently forget things until later that would change how things happen. I also feel like they sometimes get really lucky with some of the info that basically falls in their lap.

I'm really curious what the over-arching conspiracy is, what it has to do with New Bison in general, and how it will affect Maddy and her friends. Will the Admiral coming to town be a help or a hindrance in unraveling the bigger mystery? What's up with Tyler? And what about Mr Russell??

I think I’m really going to enjoy the mystery happening in this cozy town and how it’s being laid out over multiple books and mysteries.

The only thing that irks me a little is that our main character once again gets into a mess at the end by making an air-headed move.
I honestly don’t think that it’s entirely logical for her character to be THAT unaware.

In the first book it’s fine because it’s her first experience, but one hopes that you become more aware after you and your loved ones get shot at the first time.

Oh and I wanted more from the festival. It sounds so fun!
