Not sure what to say about this one. It was compelling enough for me, an adult to finish. I wanted to see what happened. But it reminds of a high school assignment -- its the end of the world, going into a bomb shelter and you can only save ten people; who would you save and why?
While it ended on a hopeful note; there are alot of unanswered questions. Plus it is very realistic and grim. Not really sure it is for 6th through 8th graders. It sort of reminded me of Pfeffer's "Life as we knew it".
