Why do I always say “the book is better than the movie, but always want my favorite books turned into movies? Another action-packed masterpiece from Serena Akeroyd. In this penultimate book in the Five Points Mob Collection, we get to the romance we’ve been waiting for - between Conor O’Donnelly and Star “Lodestar” Sullivan. The two are finally together as action with the Nee World Sparrows picks up. Lies are unraveled, family secrets come to light, new power structures are in place, and truths begin to see light. This entire series should be movies! It’s so good!
Conor and Star are perfect for other. They’ve suffered abuse at the hands of others, but their jagged pieces fit together perfectly. Conor knows just what to do to love Star and care for her, and Star knows how to both accept what Conor offers and give him what he needs in return. The plot that has woven its way through the Five Points series is as strong as ever, but the power in these books lies in the characters. I’m happy that we still get the O’Donnelly dynamic - all the brothers and their wives taking an interest in Conor and Star’s relationship is family at its best. The image of the wives all looking out the window to check out Star is hilarious.
I can not wait to read the series conclusion, Filthy Truth, next. You really will need to read the entire series if you want to follow the story, but it’s so worth it! All the books are available in KU as well. Let me know what you think of this amazing book - I’d love to discuss!

15/10 recommend. I absolutely love that the Five Points, Sinners and Valentinis can be read alone, but dang, read together in order is just epic 🤌🤌

Just finished this and I'm sitting here pretty well gobsmacked. I wasn't ready for the cliffy. Jesus there's so much going on in this book, so many things are answered, so many things are left unanswered, for now. I'm quite literally on the edge of my seat. Conor and Star have such an amazing relationship that I hope will continue to develop and just get so much better. I love the different points of view from both Conor and Star, so well written and amazingly thought out and executed.
