I really love this book! The scenes meshed well together and there's no loose threads in my opinion. Loved the main characters too, definitely showed their characters clearly. Looking forward to the next book of this duology!

I can’t be objective about this book, the whole time I was reading it, I was comparing it to other myths or retellings of the Six Swans that had me on the edge of my seat. Overall I think this is a pretty well-written take on the story, and the East-Asian fairytale vibes were lovely and a highlight. I’m not really the target audience either, but it was a cute take on the myth.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was based off of a Chinese fairytale, mixed with Miyazaki's Spirited Away. It takes a princess, who was a little spoiled and timid, and takes her on a journey where she can break out of her shell. This definately can stay as a standalone without the need to continue, but if you feel the itch...

I was hesitant to start the book because of the bad image it got from the internet but i ended up really enjoying it and i cant wait to read the second book of this duology
