A good start

This wasn't my favorite K.F Breene book, bit I see a lot of potential in the series to come. I'll definitely be reading the one.

thank goodness that's finished. definitely not continuing with this author. The characters were grating and the random over the top *sexy* scenes were jarring and uncalled for.

Pretty good story, though I did not enjoy the narration. Will read the next one.

I will typically give any book I finish 3 stars by default. But I can't with this book.

The narrator was so annoying! I couldn't tell if it was the actual writing of the author or just portrayal of the protagonist's inner monologue.

But I wanted to know the mystery so I skimmed/finished it.

Also the love interest and tension was boring. I actually preferred the one scene with a side character. He was much more interesting.
