This book is complex and delicious. I was so curious as to how the book would wrap up as I got closer to the end. It was a satisfying ending but it definitely leaves one pondering real history and how or why things ended up the way they did. It feels as though the author was writing through actually experiencing these historical events. She does a wonderful job at putting to paper the complexities of history and morality. I will never forget this book.
