It's a good book, it...can be a touch graphic. The mass majority of the book is basically whining about Tom, and plenty of sex with men who give 0 fucks about her, to be clearer, white men who give 0 fucks about her.

I wasn’t interested in the writing style.

There were a lot of theme’s in this book I really enjoyed reading about. Race and self worth being two.

Often hilarious and often heartbreaking.

I found myself cringing quite a lot - especially at the text conversations.

Was not ready for the rollercoaster this story was. However, writing and character development was top notch. I loved Queenie’s friendships and the way she dug herself out of her issues. Also hilarious which balanced the trauma.

This book was very delicate. Left out crucial details. Could have dug deeper into Queenies relationship with her mother. Nonetheless, was ok read.
