This book had me hooked through two of the three sections, but the story sort of jumped the shark in the third and final part. Not nearly as good as The Time Traveler's Wife, and the lack of insight into the character's motivations in the final section of the book left me aggravated.

The story is fairly dark and scary at points, so be prepared!

I liked this book it was slightly creepy. The only bad things about it were that it was so slow and the ending mad me mad. The whole book was really slow up to the last hundred pages, and then it really picked up and I enjoyed it. I really hated the ending though I'm not going to lie. I won't be reading it again by ay means but it was entertaining. The Time Traveler's Wife was much better though.

I think I'll try to re-visit this book again, as I read it many years ago. Hopefully the second time will be better...

When I first read this, I felt chilled and horrified at the conclusion of events. This is NOT a happy ending by all means. Sure, not every book deserves a happy ending, and sometimes (most of the times really) the twisted one works better. In this tale thou, every decision and its conclusion led to a one big disaster that broke my heart.

I liked the relationship between the twins and the description of London, not a fan of the ghosts

I really enjoyed this one although less then A Time Traveler's Wife (by the same author). This one was a little harder to get into and I felt that it ended suddenly however I did enjoy the storyline :)

Fortunately, this book didn't go the way of Secret Life of Bees/The Mermaid chair. Ms. Niffenegger writes beautifully. Though I have not been to Highgate Cemetary, it feels as I have after reading this book.

Unlike the Time Traveler's Wife, I was unable to conjure up any real connection to the characters, with the possible exception of Martin, Mr. OCD.

I give a 5-star rating to the first 2/3 of the book and a 2 for the end 1/3. It's worth the read, just be sure to read some reviews before you commit to reading. Consider this your heads up.

Was definitely different, I love how unique Audrey Niffenegger is. Some books are just rehashings of other stories you have already read, but this one along with The Time Travellers Wife (which is my fave book of all time) are not like that at all.

This is an odd book. I found the ending of the story unsatisfactory and the 'twists' were obvious, but it gets an extra star for enjoyable descriptions of my favourite city - London - and Highgate Cemetery.

I'm giving this book the benefit of the doubt with my rating as I really enjoyed the first 75% of the book. I was annoyed with the last 100 pages. Characters I had enjoyed and looked forward to reading turned in a direction that left me disappointed. Although this is a ghost story, I found the ending to be so unbelievable. I was just ready for the book to end. Rating = 3.5
