As someone born in the 90’s who knows very little about the 60’s, a lot of this collection went over my head. I just decided to leave what I didn’t understand, and enjoy what I did (rather than getting hung up on every little word).  It was definitely worth the read, Didion’s writing is captivating even when she alludes to subjects of which I have no knowledge

I’ve been so excited to read this book, but it felt unorganized to me. There wasn’t any fluidity between one essay to another when it felt like there could’ve been. Felt like I was rushing to finish it at the end.
