This was so slow paced that I found myself constantly putting it down to do literally anything else. The characters were great but wow this book was long.

This book took me a while to read. I originally started it in 2022. It was a story of rebuilding life and love as an adult. I enjoy seeing that, but it was very slow building for me.

Leuk (maar voorspelbaar) boek. Op het eind wordt het wel even spannend.

So cozy! So charming!
4 star romcom (which I’ve decided is a different rating scale than my normal rating, but nonetheless…)

I adored the more mature MCs and all of the level-headedness that come with the lens of life experience.

This didn’t follow the traditional romcom story arc, which I also appreciated.

Definitely had a good handful of references that were decidedly English, so I spent some time doing some good old fashioned googling to understand them, but it didn’t distract from my overall enjoyment of this cozy read.

The marketing for this felt misleading. I thought I was reading a winter romance and really it was set mostly in Autumn and it was more about the main character's growth as she leaves her incredibly immature husband. For some reason most of the book was about the ex-husband and how awful he was instead of the male love interest. They did create a Victorian Era book club which I really enjoyed and wanted to join!
