I hated this book. I almost stopped reading it so many times, but didn't because it was the only book on my phone that I hadn't read at the time. I like this author, but this book in particular was obviously trying to hit a million "brownie point" characteristics in a way that felt super forced (Sunny's friend group- come on. Stop trying to normalize polyamory- ew).
Almost no character development for Sunny (she's so so flighty and annoying and lacked structure) or for Beckett (still in charge of everyone, no one around him can rely on themselves. Especially Sunny!! Saying that you can take charge of yourself doesn't mean that you can- the store issues pissed me off because they were SO preventable).
Loved Parker, and I loved Leary (his nephew is for sure getting a book).
Something that makes me mad, and is NEVER addressed in multiple of this author's books is how all of these (male) characters are comfortable leaving their high powered jobs for this stupid little town. First- women can have important jobs. Second- there is no way in hell that it wasn't a THOUGHT that Noah and Beckett would lose hundreds of thousands of dollars by moving back. Beckett can't realistically do his job on the same level from home (without an office??) and Noah just straight up left.
STOP MAKING THE FMC SUPER QUIRKY AND NOT THE MMC!!! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Kate Canterbary's MMCs aren't allowed to have flaws, and the FMCs have far too many post Walsh series. Boo.

From the audacity of wrap skirts to curmudgeonly beautiful bridge trolls, you get it all in the newest story from Kate Canterbary.
This author is the absolute best at writing smart, sassy, and steamy stories that are the epitome of girl bosses and growly men.
Sunny is a rock star of a heroine. She doesn't let her disorder stop her from being all that she wants to be.
Beckett is a fixer to the extreme, and when his layers are revealed, you understand why he feels the need to do so.
It's always hard for me to find the words to exude the feelings I get when reading Ms. Canterbary's stories. I always feel a bit more in touch with the world around me. I know it doesn't make sense, but her writing is just amazing. You can tell she takes her time and does the research to create an amazing world and cast of characters that is Friendship, Rhode Island.
If you are new to Kate Canterbary, or like me, a fan girl from the start, you are going to love this story.
I will be waiting oh so patiently for the next Loew brother to get his story.

3.5⭐️
I loved Sunny and Beck, mostly, but there was a lot in this one. A lot of peripheral characters. A lot of detail about those characters. Just a lot. Not sure I love the overall style. Parker was a pleasant surprise, however. I did enjoy getting to meet that kid!

2.95 stars, this pains me because I was so excited for this I just did not click with it at all, it’s a shame but it is what it is just wasn’t for me but I am interested in the brothers and hopefully I have better luck with their books
I had all the reasons to like it, the representation, the side characters, the story but still ended up not enjoying.
Am I even surprised that this book was freaking amazing? no, im not
It was so good, sweet, swoony, so fun and sexy.
Sunny and Beck's banter was fantastic. The author has an incredible sense of humor and always makes me laugh out loud.
Another thing I also enjoyed is how although both Beck and Sunny had real life issues, they handle them in the best way they could; and the fact that Sunny had a support system made everything more manageable for her and I loooooved that they integrated Beck into their found family.
I'm not a big fan of oysters, but now I see shucking oysters in a new, completely different way, LOL
P. S. Loved the cameos of beloved characters from Friendship and the Canterbaryverse.
Thank you to the author and team for the ARC.

This was a good read. got messy towards the end in my opinion I felt like a lot was happening but I enjoyed the development of Sunny and Beckett's relationship and the smidge of suspense thrown in there was interesting!
brother best friend just continues to be a trope I struggle with

Can we give it up for the most emotionally well regulated FMC that I’ve ever read in romance novel? Sunny was a dream, and made ME want to be a better partner IRL!? I loved how she helped Beckett recognize and work through his own internalized issues and vulnerabilities, while standing her ground in a very mature, no nonsense way. Awesome love story; looking forward to more Loew brother love stories!
Special thanks to Kate’s team for my first ARC, what a wonderful experience ❤️
Ps. Um, Parker was hands down my favorite character…can we get him a book like 5 years down the road?!? This kid is going places!

This was cute and enjoyable. Love the small town vibes and honestly, the ridiculousness of a lot of the plot. However the love interest was a little too straight up mean imo in the beginning. I didn't get sexy banter from their encounters....However he definitely redeemed himself by the end and I really came to love them together.
