All in all a good story. I like that this character was not over the top possessive but we still got enough of that to see that he is that type of guy. Had the story been a little better written, it'd easily deserve a better rating.

There were a lot of likes and some dislikes with Consumed and let me tell you what they were. Spoilers below.

Likes:
Seth; how can you not love Seth? He’s a sexy, MMA fighter who just seems super cool all the way around. He finds that he can’t stay away from Olivia and changes himself to be a better man for her. *sighs*
Olivia; she seems pretty cool. She didn’t fall for everyone’s crap that they dealt her once she had an eye opening moment with her sleazy ex.
Their passion; yeah, sign me up for that. Crazy hot between the two of them.

Dislikes:
Seth taking his rants too far with Olivia’s boss and ex-boyfriend. There was no need for him to step in.
Olivia being mature but blows off work like it is completely fine to do so. If I act that way at my job, I would be canned in seconds. Everyone is replaceable.
Olivia’s best friend Selena was too crazy for me. Something horrible happens to Olivia’s family member and Selena is standing in the background making out with a guy. If something like that happened to my best friend’s family member, I would be there for my best friend.

So, it had its good and bad takes. More good over the bad though.

I liked it. I probably would have liked it more if it hadn't followed a couple of other books that were so great, but still really good!

Aside from the numerous your/you're and other equally annoying grammar mistakes, I liked it. Although, I did find myself rolling my eyes at the fact that so many of the male characters were obsessed with Olivia. It probably won't make it into my 2014 top 10, but eh, it was a fun read.

So, the last MMA fighter book I Just read is usually my favorite, I'm willing to admit that! However, this book gets top rating because it wasn't as cliche as many of the others. Yeah, there is the angsty mentally unstable hot MMA fighter attracted to the inexperienced waif that has 90% inner dialogue but doesn't say much in between blushing. She even has the outgoing looser friend. Of course there is the hostility and issues with said waif and MMA fighter's opponent that stands between him and some title or contract. Yeah, yeah...it's all there. BUT...this one is a little less formula and quite a bit more real guy. I think after reading Remy, I would take a book that didn't glorify so much negative. Olivia is lovable and we see her normal family and while she has an ex boyfriend, it's not as overbearing as it could be. Also, the loose friend starts to simmer down. But, the big winner here is Seth. Seth has a past and he's working to overcome it for his girl. So sweet.

Now, I have to let it be known that the 3.5 star rating in no way reflects the hotness that is Seth. He was the best part of the book. Drool-worthy to the max! I just didn't fully buy the love story and there was nothing really new that separated it from every other "alpha-male, fighter and reformed whore falls for the girl and changes his doggish ways" story. He wasn't remorseful enough about his past. I mean, you come across two guys who you've straight up wronged and yet you wonder why they loathe you?! Have you heard of maybe apologizing? It works sometimes and when it doesn't it's at least a way to show you've grown a bit as a human being. But since he's sex on a stick he gets a pass? Nope! Olivia was oooookay, I guess. Nothing special about her. I would have to question her judge of character and her self-worth because her ex was a jerk and frankly, her best friend was a certified DUD! As my rating shows, I far from hated it. I just hoped for more.
