“Self-Portrait as Wikipedia Entry” is an extraordinary work of art. I don’t reread books very often, but many of these poems will be pieces I seek out and return to often.

I don't know, I just never got into this collection. The poems didn't feel like they were about anything? Beyond quotidian white middle American masculinity... which sometimes made the framing feel off, despite any good critical intentions. Also all the allusions were like ~classical smart poetry shit~ and it made the style feel too MFA prim and proper rather than fun, imaginative, personal, purposeful... anything I would like more in technical choices!

Funny, moving, romantic, and sparing no amount of venom for those in power who deserve it, this collection of poems has everything.

I really liked how the self-portrait concept was used throughout this book.
