While I still liked this book very much, the flow of it was off. Throwing in the ritual at the end of the epilogue was poor taste, that was worth being in the climax of the story. Also, it got a bit confusing with all the supposed links to the keepers. It was either not explained well or there were just too many to keep up with. I did, of course love the story but I hope she writes a proper ending for this series. It's too good to end with that.

This book as a whole was wonderful. Captivating plot with danger, interest, and some fabulous new characters. Kate is still fabulous, possibly one of the best urban fantasy protagonists I’ve encountered. Except when she’s around Curran. Their chemistry is decent, and he’s not awful, but when she’s with him, she becomes a weaker, whinier version of herself. She doesn’t put him in his place when he’s out of line with jealous behavior. It is not - and will never be - romantic, when a man actively tries to kill/ maim other men for speaking to his girlfriend. Not cute, not strong and manly. It’s just lame that he doesn’t trust Kate to not jump into bed with any guy who speaks with her. And it’s not romantic at all that he just talks down to her until eventually he roars/ wrestles/ fights her into submission. This whole sub plot knocked the story rating down for me. If it hadn’t been for everything else that was pretty great, Curran’s nonsense would have resulted in 1-2 stars. Blech.

This series is epic, and this 5th novel is EPIC within it's own covers! (If that makes sense.) Things come to a roaring boil, where teamwork is the only way to save the day!

Another awesome read. Did anyone else think the Light Keepers would be like, the Grandchildren of the Tea Party or something? Some current political themes and challenges in America definitely symbolized through the plight of the Keepers. Definitely Republicans.

This book was so good.  I can't wait to see what the next book holds. So many new developments are occurring.

This series has a grip on me and it's causing havoc to my tbr and uni readings.
