Damn this one was kinda bad. Very insta love-y and the love interest seemed unnecessarily young. The whole thing was boring.
adventurous emotional hopeful mysterious medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated

This one wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but not in a bad way. It’s a very engaging fantasy story, and seeing an actor have to use his skills to not seem certifiable was something different. I really enjoyed it, but it has the issue that all supernatural/ghost love stories have—the happy endings have to be literally contrived.

This book is completely magical. So very different then anything I've read before, Ms. Sexton takes us on a magical journey of discovery and it will change the way you look at snowglobes forever. Its a love story that crosses boundaries never set before,, it crosses decades in a way that I'm still asking "how did she do that?" Welcome to Jason and Ben's journey...and be ready to believe in magic.

I’ve had this book since it was released, but for some reason never picked it up to read. When I started my round the country challenge I put this one in for Idaho straight away, but I still had to force myself to read it, and I don’t know why because I really should have trusted Ms Sexton’s work.
I really enjoyed it.
It sucked me in from the first chapter.
I loved Jason and his protective instincts where Ben was concerned. I also enjoyed watching them try and communicate. Obviously with the way things were it was a slow burn, but it worked well here.
I also loved Ben and his happy attitude.Yes he struggled with his plight but he had had time to change the way he was thinking. His enjoyment at the small things was great.
I was interested to see how Ms Sexton would free Ben from the globe or even just resolve the issue that no one could see Ben, and it was done well.

i tried—i really did—but...

description

i mean, i resisted the growing pile of cray as long as i could—which turned out to be no further than the bit where he faked a psychotic break so as to avoid explaining to the former love of his life that he was now in a serious relationship with an asthmatic civil war soldier stuck inside a snow globe for a hundred and fifty years.

i think my primary mistake here was in actually reading the words and thinking about what they meant, instead of letting them all flow over me like a gently burbling brook of benign insanity.

my bad.
