Thanks to Touchwood for a digital copy of this book for review. A Lethal Lesson is the next instalment of the Lane Winslow mystery series by Iona Whishaw - and it’s fantastic.
Lane and Darling have returned from their honeymoon and are getting settled into married life. But it wouldn’t be a Lane story if she didn’t stumble onto a mystery - this time involving two missing teachers from the local school.
The mystery itself was fantastic, but the exploration on the theme of how the actions of a parent can affect a child’s development was very intriguing and will leave the reader with a lot to ponder. You also get to catch a glimpse of Lane’s childhood; it’s nice to still be learning more about her even eight books in.
I have my fingers crossed for a ninth book. But in the meantime make sure you’re all caught up and read book eight!
