Suspenseful slow burn mystery. Ultimately unsatisfying, but in a way that reflects actual real life and actual court cases. Just creepy enough to give me some weird dreams if I read too late at night.

While I can’t say this book has much competition at this point, it’s my favorite of the books I’ve read this year. The story brings up interesting questions about who can tell stories and who society expects us to believe. It’s a great choice for a book club.

Really enjoyed this, I thought it was so clever (although I didn't always like the writing!).

An accurate representation of who gets convicted and who gets to walk free in cases of relational violence and predation. The novel approach of podcast storytelling kept me engaged to the very end.
