Love the adventure in the last half of the book. Felt it was a bit slow going at the beginning but understand it needed to lay the groundwork since this is the first book in a series. Highly enjoyable characters, especially The Librarian. This will be a popular series for middle grade readers.
A definite recommended read!

Kids fending for themselves! Supernatural abilities! Heists! I loved the observations they make when venturing into civilization for the first time, such as: libraries seem like safe, helpful places, and gendered restrooms make no sense.
