Rating this one was hard for me. I love the first 3 books in the series, with the first 2 being absolute knockouts. That said, this one felt like I was reading a different series. The only times that I felt like I was actually reading a Miles High book was in the scenes with the rest of the Miles' brothers. I think the problem for me is that this wasn't an office/workplace romance like the first 3 books are. While I enjoyed the backpacking experience through Christopher's POV (some scenes being incredibly funny), I just found myself missing the parts that made me enjoy the other novels in the series so much.
That being said, I did still really enjoy this book. It was a slow start. I really didn't start to find myself invested until about the 30% mark, but once I hit that point, I devoured the rest of the book in one sitting. Christopher was another spectacular Miles brother. I really enjoyed the fact that TL Swan wrote him to be afraid of imperfections and it made his chapters really enjoyable to read. He also had just that perfect amount of possessive and jealous levels that he shares with the rest of his brothers. Hayden was a bit of a bore for me and I didn't really find anything about her that stood out. I just felt like Emily, Claire, and Kate all had a bit more fiestyness to them. However, I did enjoy the romance and relationship between the 2. Their friendship was believable and the journey to lovers was even more believable.

soooo
I was heartbroken when they broke up. I was ugly crying. Its got lots of emotions from funny to heartbreaking. And what totally got into me was the Christopher-Eddie relationship. How Christopher really cared about Eddie and would move mountains just to make sure he is safe. A parents love for their children is something powerful

This was my least favorite of the 4. Christopher was just sort of an idiot with some of the decisions. I do love that in all of the books there is at least one scene that will crack me up and in this one I had tears rolling down my cheeks in the grocery store parking lot because of a mascot. IYKYK. I think Hayden was too forgiving of him and gave him a lot of passes and not always stand up for herself. This was a good conclusion into the "Happily Ever After" epilogues but as I mentioned, my least favorite of the series. I DID love the cross over though of all the other boys from other series like Julian Masters.
The duo narration on the audiobook is brilliant. Laugh out loud moments, spice and even a tear. I really love this series.
I wanted to love it because I loved the other 3, but it was just… lacking. Honestly, they both deserves other people. They were ridiculously wrong for each other. I liked Christopher, Hayden…. Not so much.
imagine the secondhand embarrassment i feel at the fact that MMC is the one fucks up colossally but FMC is the one who grovels bc.. get this.. she somehow gaslights herself into thinking if she didn’t get so paranoid and regretful ab giving up her entire life and unrooting herself to be with a man who only wants her for sex.. then maybe things would’ve worked out better?
