The sentence structure (having 4 commas in the sentence, 5 sentences in a row) is exhausting. (not even an em dash or a semicolon to switch it up!)

The repetitive use of certain phrases and pet names...if you're gonna write nearly 400 pages of smut with wildly different characters you think you could also think of new and different words between sex scenes at least. By the 87th time I read "my sex" I was almost ready to close the book and I would've if this wasn't for book club.

You can do consent non-consent and this author said no lemme just do non-con and dub-con and we don't love that here!

Wild to decide to introduce a plot 40% into a book.

It's pretty much everything one could want from a reverse harem monster erotica. Now it is a bit sad none of the main monsters deviate from human physiology that much.

Only reason I'm knocking half a star off is because it took me a long time to get into this book. I don't know how long I would've taken to get through it if I didn't switch between reading on my Kindle and listening to the audiobook.
But really, don't listen to the reviews that say "no plot, just monster dick" because there is a really good plot going on. Mystery, betrayal, mystical intrigue... and the characters are all fun and interesting. To be fair, I'm fairly indifferent towards Esther, but I love all the men, save for Amon. He's on thin ice. Overall, a good time with good smut.
