Like many others, I picked this up simply due to the title. Looking at the cover and reading the title, I would guess many are tempted to stereotype the book. After all, I did the same. As other readers have noted, the beginning is "ratchet" but I feel it sets the tone for what you are getting into. When you dip your toe into the water and it's cold, you know what your swim will be like. This book is the same. With rough lanague and harsh scenarios running rampant throughout the book, what lies underneath is actually a well thought out and interesting storyline. I became fully invested and had to know how this one would end, making it difficult for me to put down.
What plagued this book for me was the editing. There were numerous errors that stood out, and while I can usually ignore them, they pop up and tend to take the power out of a portion of the book. There were also parts of the book that should have been removed and felt to me like filler. The story would remain the same without a few chapters.
It will be easy for many to label this as trash, ratchet, hood, or ghetto. I have already seen that in various reviews. But the author is talented. The title was not selected by accident. None of his titles are. It is great marketing. I could complain all day long about the lanauge used in the book and some of the situations, but Millz stays consistent with his work and put a lot of effort into the storyline as well as the dialogue.
All that being said, I would still pick up another book by Millz and read it.

Me reading the actual book:

Me when I finished reading the book:

To say this was one of the most...how can I put it politely...INSANE????? books I have ever read is an understatement. I just-I don't know how to describe this in words so memes will suffice for now
