Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don’t eat up people’s gardens, don’t nest in corncribs, they don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.

Beautiful book with a beautiful message. Or should I say messages? I'm sure there are many things and life lessons that one can interpret when reading this, some of which I might not have discovered yet.
I can definitely see why this is a classic that's taught in schools. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to read this during my schooldays. Though I'm pretty sure it would have bored me to read this during class, so I'm kinda glad I read this now at least.

"Hey, Boo"

This is a book I’ve wanted to read for a long time, but never quite got round to. I’m glad I finally did - I really enjoyed it. I guess it was probably quite shocking when it first came out, and it seems to have been banned in various US states quite often - and quite recently too, which surprised me!

It was beautifully written and is a very visual novel. I think it’s quite popular for GCSE these days, as it was for GCE back in the day, and I can see why.
