I never understood why everyone used to talk about this book until I had to read it tenth grade. It was amazing to watch Scout grow up. Since your living at the moment it's hard to understand how your innocence leaves you.

i just couldn’t get behind this one. i read the first 2 chapters then put it down- the story was written with confusing paths that were hard to follow.
This love captures the true expression of love for one's fellow man without prejudice for lifestyle, creed or colour. The first half I thought, at first, was well written if a bit dull. By the second half I was deeply emotionally invested. I'm so glad I read this, I can easily say this is one of my favourite books.
EDIT: My 2nd read to celebrate my 500th book on Goodreads: I enjoyed the entire story more this time around, with the wisdom and themes from Atticus bursting through each chapter. I look forward to my 3rd read in the future.

White savior complex all over again, racism, racism, racism, and very annoying children. Extremely slow paced.
