An important book, still relevant today, that should continue to be required reading for high school students in the US.

I finally read this after never being assigned to read it in high school. Then, I definitely would have loved it. And I liked it a lot now too, but the plot was kind of all over the place? Stuff eventually came back around, but there was no path to follow to get there.

And while I understand the time it was written and published in, the overt, ugly racism was difficult to read. Important, for sure! But awful.

Did I still like it? Of course! Atticus is a hero worth aspiring to.
