This was a real enjoyable thriller that I didn’t want to put down. I read this book in one sitting and loved how original the plot was. This book had me suspicious of every character throughout the book, but was also a bit predictable at times. I loved the author’s light-hearted writing style in this book and overall I really enjoyed this mystery/thriller. This was a great debut novel and if you are looking for a binge able mystery about serial killers and online dating you should consider picking up this book.

cute read. nice to see the horrors of online dating portrayed pretty accurately!!! felt pandering to the true crime vibe but overall if you need an easy beach read go for it. thought the ending was pretty rushed, but did not hate it!

AHHH! I loved this!!! I listened to this on audiobook and it was just so much fun. Describing a random dude as “a ginger Super Mario” was great. This was everything LOVE IN THE TIME OF SERIAL KILLERS (my opp) wanted to be. It was cute, it was quirky, it had that Bridget Jones meets small town murder mystery vibe and I ATE IT UP!!!! Ordering a physical copy asap cause I do need to re-read and annotate.

The only *ONLY* little “eh” part for me was I found out about 80% of the way through the book that it was written by a man, and idk if it was just having that knowledge or what, but it painted the final climax of the book in a different light. Like all of a sudden I was like “oh yeah, a man def wrote this” but before that I couldn’t tell at all and was LOLing and everything. It had such great quick, witty humor, and I loved Gwen. She’s a character that you feel like you know irl. Does she make the best decisions? No. Do you still empathize with her? Yeah.

Last thing - I’m American so every time they made that damn taser seem like a gun I chuckled. I hate guns but when she was talking to the cop abt it like it was a deadly weapon I was like omg.
