I think the book’s structure is its biggest strength.  Parvati does a good job breaking down how people respond to survival situations and this gives a lot of context to her life and how she has played in reality games.  This is worth more of a read if you are a fan of her, but I think some people would still get something out of it if they knew nothing of Shallow prior to reading.
