An interesting memoir for any long time survivor fan
fast-paced

Parv I love you but whyyyy do you talk about the media slut shaming you in your first 3 seasons of survivor (which is valid!) but then turn around and objectify your female friends?!?! Whyyyy is your only description of Danielle DiLorenzo “a busty brunette” when “another young, attractive, badass woman” was right there?!?! It’s hard to sympathize when you’re being weird!

If you are a fan of Parvati Shallow you will 100% enjoy this. (and if you aren't, wtf are you doing) The context for her life outside of Survivor is extremely interesting, and pretty heavy. Highly recommend listening to the audio version, narrated by Mother herself.

Coming from a “reality TV star,” this memoir was extremely raw and vulnerable. Of course there are parts about her time on television, but only a little behind-the-scenes is revealed, and she really focuses on her emotions and experiences. I thoroughly enjoyed this, even though some parts were difficult to listen to on an emotional level.
