An old time children's story from Switzerland. It is very different than the Heidi movie acted by Shirley Temple but the main theme is about the same, a young orphan taken by her aunt to the mountains to live with her grandfather. I enjoyed it but the movie was far more dramatic and entertaining.

Sweetest story ever!!

Song: Up In The Mountains by Lee Holdridge

The story has some interesting points however, I think it sends the wrong message. Heidi's friend is disabled, in a wheelchair and never walked. That is until she goes to Heidi's home in the mountain and a jealous boy breaks her chair.

I know this story is old and outdated, but for me that's a crucial error in the story. Disabilities don't just go away.
