When The Wolf Comes Home absolutely wrecked me in the best way. This was a wild, anxiety-fueled thrill ride packed with body horror, gore, and  emotion. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, constantly guessing where it was headed. 

The emotional depth caught me off guard. There were layers of fear, love, and daddy issues that rippled through every character. It was fast-paced, symbolic, and surprisingly heartfelt. I didn’t know I needed this book, but wow… I did. Also, do not skip the Afterword—Cassidy’s words there hit just as hard. My first read by him, but definitely not my last.

This is such a great book. It is both full of scares and gore, but also full of heartfelt moments and it has me all emotional. It follows Jess, a waitress and aspiring actress. Her father has recently died and she is trying to process his death and the fact that he was abandoned her when she was a child. When she finds a boy who ran away from his father, she makes the decision to run away with him. However Jess soon realizes that the boy can change reality which is even worse when he's scared. Also the image of someone being ripped apart and how it's compared to rotisserie chicken will forever stay in my mind. I adore this book so much and I am definitely gonna read it again.

I absolutely love Nat Cassidy's writing and will buy and read anything he writes!

This was such a crazy, imaginative story full of gore, grief, and terrorizing action. I thoroughly enjoyed every page, including the afterword.

The story follows Jess after she finds a lost little boy outside her apartment. As she struggles to protect him from his father, she realizes that things can always get worse than you can imagine.

Nothing will prepare you for what is in this book, so go in blind; it'll be worth it.

y'all... I finished this days ago and forgot to update because I was so blown away by this story, especially after the authors note... I want to do this book justice by writing a well thought out review but I need some time to process... I will say this for now... 

If you haven't read this book yet.... What are y'all doing!? Absolutely my TOP favorite horror book I've ever read. It's sitting up there with IT by Stephen King. Yes, it's THAT good, and it's THAT gory! Nat Cassidy is the horror author we have all begged for but don't deserve. Maybe it's because I resonated with it to my absolute core. Idk y'all... Just please go read it! And if you have already devoured The Big Bad Wolf... Tell me, did you love it as much as me!?
