The premise is very interesting: That there should be more places for people to socially interact with each other casually, as that helps to build the neighborhood.
I particularly liked his discussion on the research that showed parks and cleaned up areas can actually reduce crime.
He wanders a bit toward the end... he advocates for libraries quite strongly, but then doesn't seem to have a cohesive framework for the rest. But overall a very interesting read.

For a book so focused on social infrastructure, I wish Klienenberg had interrogated the great works specific individuals can do more in the final section.
