I loved annihilation and i loved the elements of this book that felt like its predecessor, that being said, it felt like a longer, slower paced, office politics version of the environmental horror that was the first book, without the same almost magical and enchanting qualities. Hopefully the third book delves more into the world the first book created.

Utterly bizarre, I felt like I was being hypnotised myself. Really interesting plot, characters and concept. The writing was intriguing and kept me feeling disorientated like the characters.
