Enjoyed the start enough to finish the trilogy.

Not nearly as exciting as the first book in the trilogy (or as terrifying), but it sates your desire for knowledge and continues to expand out our knowledge and view of area X. By the end it’s very gripping and sets the story up in a way that leaves me excited for the third book in the trilogy. Really well written and a great concept!

Reading experience was more of an "It was OK" but I am so interested in the series that I thought it was worth the extra star. I don't usually read weird fiction, and I usually want everything over-explained, so I'm surprised that I like this at all.

Dude this shit is so weird. I love it, don't get me wrong, and I'm obsessed with how much of this book was establishing that Control and the Biologist are the exact same type of freak, but good god the plot came barrelling in like a runaway train at the end there. Super unsettling still, hoping that in the next book I'll figure out what the fuck is going on.
