Damn. That ending 😳

It took me a minute to get into this one, the writing felt a bit basic in the beginning, but the story really drew me in.

I hope we learn more about some of the other supporting characters in the next book 🤞

I dnf’d this at 20%. Idk how it has so many 5 star reviews bc honestly chatGPT could’ve written smoother dialogue, every sentence reads like that one TikTok voice sounds. The grammar is horrendous, the characters are all one dimensional wannabe baddies, and while I pride myself on being v good at keeping up with fantasy world building I can’t tell you how many times I thought “who is this and how tf did we get here??”
A classic case of tell not show. But again, apparently it has something a lot of people enjoy (probably the teensy but of

Rough start but picks up eventually and is well worth it. Not a fan of modern fantasy at all but and I wanted to DNF so badly but glad I persisted because Liam & Dianna are worth it. The side characters are worth it. Gabby is worth it. The ending was insane. The broadcasting news scene was amazing. I am now a forever fan of Amber Nicole.

I liked parts of this. In particular the first half was enjoyable; however the book is somewhat on the long side, given the content. A lot of pages where not much happens.

I struggled a bit with the MC Dianna and her behaviour and the language that she uses throughout . She sounded at times like a young adult, rather than a very old being. It took a bit away from my enjoyment.
