I feel like I wasn't taking in most of this book. Every now and then there'd be a quote that I would resonate with but most the time I was just like... what is happening

Ci sono punti oggettivamente faticosi ma è scritto divinamente e la parte finale è bellissima

"Philosophical novel" might have set pretentious alarm bells a-ringing in my head, but Nausea's focus on a depressed creative stuck in an existential rut was exactly what I needed when I read it (being a depressed creative stuck in an existential rut), even if there was little in the way of interesting plot. It baffles me that the first things I read after deciding to Work On My Mental Health were this and Sylvia Plath's Ariel, though. Read the room, huh?

Another MMU library pick-up; the gift that keeps on giving.

I read this book when I was unhappy but unwilling to change. I rated it 5 stars and felt it was perfect. I wonder if I'll feel like that now that I am happy? A fun book about an introspective and introverted writer probably struggling with acute anxiety without the knowledge or support to resolve that.
