Pure goodness. Something so tickled pink about no miscommunication or misunderstandings. Enemies, forced proximity, house guest, parlor games, balls… this book has it all with tasty morsels of fun as shocking as a plunge in an ice bath. If you want to read with a smile that creases your cheeks, Graham and Anna’s story takes the cake.

Highcliffe House by Megan Walker is a lovely historical romance with enemies-to-lovers. There's no spice, so if you like my normal reads, this one may not be for you. But it is delightful, and the banter is on point. The hero is stubborn, but the heroine has him beat. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF at the end of the 4th chapter. Maybe I don’t love the enemies to lovers trope, but it just felt like the two characters were just complaining about each other the whole time. It felt whiny. Plus it was in first person, which can be hit or Miss for me. I’m glad so many of my friends enjoyed it!

The absolute sweetest, swooniest enemies-to-lovers I've read in a while. Anna and Graham were everything and I'm so obsessed with their relationship! The progression from barbs and arguments to swoon and kisses felt so real and natural. They both had very reasonable resentment from their complicated history and flawed but beautiful characters, and watching them grow and overcome and romance one another was precious. I loved Graham's family and Anna's father, and everything else in between. A beautiful and perfect story that will sit with me for a long time ❤️

"Can I keep you forever? Even if everything falls apart, and all we have is each other?"

YES YOU CAN GRAHAM!!! AHEM, I MEAN...what a great book y'all. Yes.

Brighton is my favourite city in the UK that I've been to, so you can imagine how much I loved the setting of this book, and of course the romance. The narrators beautifully brought it to life, I loved the dual PoV.

It took me a hot minute to warm up to Anna, but I liked Graham from the get-go, he was just wonderful *swoons*. I so enjoyed their banter with each other, and both of their relationships with Graham's family.

The writing was lovely too, the plot was good, the characters were interesting, an all-around good read.

I will absolutely be reading more from this author, her other books are already on my tbr!!

Another very cute and sweet book from Walker. These are so easy to consume and generally leave you feeling so happy.
Grant and Anna’s relationship is very Darcy-Lizzie if you flip who has money. I loved watching them get over their misconceptions and dislike.
Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a quick and easy read with romance and no spice (just a little kissing).

More of a 3.5! I enjoyed it! This took me a while to read, but it was just because of the mood I have been in. This is the perfect, classic enemies to lovers. I loved the banter, the shenanigans, and the setting. I loved Tabs! She was the best.

This was easy and diverting reading, with a minimum of miscommunication or misunderstanding, which I appreciate.  I guess I wasn't totally in the mood for heart-eyes and sentimentality, plus first-person dual POV is not my favorite, but I still think this was well done enough to appeal to plenty of readers!
