I enjoyed the book, however I really disliked the main character.

This book is decent til you get to the end and have no clue what the hell just happened. (If you do not believe me, check the questions section of the reviews for this book).
The book is odd to begin with then that weird-ass ending just seals the deal of "what the hell did I just read?" If any of you make it through it and can explain it to me, please do.

Girl who wants it all has tragic backstory paired with a whiney inner monologue and confusing storyline.

I wanted to read this prior to seeing the new movie but I DNF'd within the first 80 pages. The writing felt all over the place and it was difficult to follow each part of the story while reading about how manipulative the main character is.

This one was just okay. I didn't hate it but it didn't make me want to recommend it to anyone. There isn't anything in particular that I disliked about it, it just didn't wow me or even impress me. Meh.

I can’t finish this. The main character is so unlikable and I really don’t like the authors writing style

After being tricked into thinking this was like Gone Girl, like the review on the cover says, I waited the ENTIRE book for it to feel like Gone Girl. It never happened.

I was completely wrapped up in what this character was all about--hating her and the path she chose almost entirely. That said, some of the ways this book makes points is in the spelling of her name and I can't imagine that this would translate accurately through a reading (versus written word).
The reason I haven't given this 5 stars is that the ending, I thought, was weak. I expected a much bigger punch.
I hesitate to write more about the character so that it won't spoil the build-up that the reader gets when coming to the story for the first time. I will look for this author's work again.

Not at all like "Gone Girl "

Trigger warnings should be heeded for this book.

Also... sort of like GONE GIRL ... it’s a mystery-ish book with really unlikable characters. Slogged through wanting to get to the plot points ....

Wow, I watched the movie on Netflix before I knew what it was about, or read the book and I still only felt a little more prepared for what’s inside this book. Would definitely check trigger warnings before reading!
