theres so much i have to say about this book, but i cant hate it fully. Its a love hate relationship, kinda toxic but ill be reading the 3rd book on release day and ill see u all there

Hated it. Can’t wait for the next one.

This book is 2/3 unnecessary self-loathing and 1/3 Violet pining for someone whose heart already belongs to her. I don’t understand the absolutely nosedive in emotional maturity of the FMC and why it took over 400 pages to flush it out, only to have the last two chapters be overpacked with half-baked world building and a cliffhanger that leaves way too many unanswered questions.

If RY does not redeem herself with Onyx Storm there will be hell to pay.
