I've seen pretty mixed reviews about this book, but I really enjoyed listening to it.
I thought the narrator was really good. It may sound strange, but she was stiff and rather robotic at first (and in flashbacks) but I feel like that was part of the story and an artistic choice in portraying the FMC's depression. The "just going through the motions" of surviving when your world is falling apart. I loved it. I also loved how no-nonsense Phoebe decided to be in the moment(s) she first interacted with Lilah.
It was just a really lovely, moving story about how your life can change in the most unexpected ways. Definitely recommend to those who enjoy stories about women and companionship.

Wow. This book evoked every possible emotion— I laughed, I cried, I cringed— and everything in between. This book danced through some hard feelings but in such a graceful way. It was so easy to get lost in this one and the book hangover is about to be so real.
