Alison Espach writes with honesty on such a sensitive topic that it makes you reflect on life, relationships and purpose. It’s a somber topic but she handles it with respect and a sense of humour that creates needed levity. There is great depth to the main three characters, and moments where you might go off them, that internal reflection and time spent with them really endears you. With an excellent cast of characters that fill the colour of this story.

It was refreshing to watch Phoebe be so free with herself and see her notice herself going back into that box and refuse to lose what she had gained within herself during her time at the hotel. I really appreciated the lessons and takeaways that Phoebe was able to take from her week, that there is something more, you don’t have to lie to yourself and continue with something that no longer works for you, when you can’t have what you dreamed you can always redirect.
