I can’t even finish this book.  Made it 60% in and the author being up social issues around gender.  Not only that, the writing seems to have gotten more elementary and bouncing all over the place.

The last two books of this series just killed it for me.  It’s the little things like Aiden had a stepbrother in the beginning but now he’s an only child?!  Also I thought Blake shot him but now it’s a traumatic brain injury.

Nothing was falling in line and it felt like the author was just throwing dramatic effects in there to try and hold the audience.

Ending felt very rushed for a six book series.

The Black Series starts off fine and  quickly declines after the second book. Each installment is poorly conceived and edited.
Storylines (specifically traumatic and triggering ones) are introduced seemingly as plot twists to add shock, but are never flushed out and most often left hanging unresolved across the entire story.
Dialogue is atrociously scripted - it is not always clear who says what or the characters speaking are mislabeled.
The misinformation about reproduction and anatomy is horrifying considering that the books were written by a woman. And the spice isn’t even that great. It’s incredibly vanilla for a MMC who’s supposed to have darker/kinkier tendencies and quickly become redundant.
Worst of all, the author introduces a non-binary character but continues to misgender that character through the remainder of the series.

In short. Save yourself the 1200 or so pages. It is absolutely awful.

Glad it was a HEA but disappointed that we didn’t hear any more about Tom and that situation. I feel like a lot was missing. And then just ended :-/

I like the way it was written. Almost as if it’s the authors very own story. Like she’s Ellie.

However ,
I was gonna give this book 4 stars but the more I think about the books the more I wanna lower the ratings. It’s like you didn’t put ay care into it at all.

It could’ve been proof read. Lots and lots of repeated things. Like 20% of the books is something being said AGAIN. Be it from the very same book or a previous book. Like Brie coming out (sorta) in the book before this. The author repeated that whole thing again, before Elise wedding. Like it was new information. Also Ellie calling Brie she over and over even when just narrating is silly. Could’ve just said they. Also why did you change Brie (aka annebelle) name ? And age?
Weird inconsistent timeline on the pregnacy.
Another thing that’s bothering me so much is how Aiden is suddenly an only child ??? When in the first book he said that he grew up sorta poor, just him and his little brother and his parents.

Also very small but has annoyed me since the first book. Who tf is Harrison Brooks? There was this whole big intro of him in the first book then BOOM nothin else.

Caroline’s r*pe and suicide was not necessary. Didn’t add anything to the story. Why would you kill a character off just to have something for the main characters to be torn apart by? I don’t buy that Ellie even cared enough about her to be torn up. Every other sentence is book one was like I wanna do hoodrat things but I’m no Caroline !!!! She seemed to deal with her rather than actually care about her.
Lots of inconsistencies like that. Lots Of random drama for the sake of drama.
