This one I like, which is impressive considering how little I care for history. Approachable history that keeps you entertained as well. The true-false section at the end was a nice factual tie-up.

Teaches young kids about history in a fun way that they can relate to. Has a true/false section so kids who are older can fact check the liberties the author took in writing the story

A whimsical take on our Founding Fathers. I like the way that Smith ties together the actions of these men with varied personalities and strengths in the creation and foundation of the United States. Bonus points for the informative and amusing True or False section at the end.

A hilarious take on what our founding fathers were like as young boys. Fans of the Beatles will enjoy a few references thrown in as well.

So much to love about this book! A hit in this house even before JP turned 2. My mom gave this to me a long time ago when I moved to Cville and it's a wonderful treasure.
