(I know it says only part 1 of 2 but this review is for the whole book)

Sevro is becoming one of my favorite characters! He’s hilarious and so loyal to Darrow. So glad their friendship gets closer with some new developments.

Mustang…I mean, I knew it was leading to that storyline and I was so happy for Darrow…no way anything good was gonna last for him. Where would be his drive then?

And the person who is Ares? I feel like I should have known!

Visiting his old home felt like closure. I don’t think he will ever go back.

I can’t even wrap my head around this ending! It’s always shocking and I expected betrayal and anger between the characters. The deaths were surprising and depressing. The Jackal was being too nice so I knew he was up to something. But Roque broke my heart. I really was hoping that friendship would get mended. He’s had nothing but pain.
