I have read all of Reachers books. This one seemed milder, less fighting but still a page turner.

Why have I not read any of Lee Child before? So easy to read, about an afternoon's worth. Can't wait to find more for these summer holidays!

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, but unfortunately, I was unimpressed. I would not classify this as a thriller. It was bland and uneventful. It seems like the repetitive details were meant to be a literary device to give the reader hints, but I never want to hear the words “West Point, 2005” again. It was too much. I’m glad lots of people like these books though.

so amazing how he weaves the storyline and creates living characters in broad brushstrokes

Great read, as usual

Different perspective this time. Reacher is his inimitable self but is he on the side of the angels? Inspired detective work and beautiful depiction of Wyoming.

Just Jack Reacher--eh. It was not as fast-moving or suspenseful as others--also not as violent.

Having watched the new Reachers series (and enjoyed it), I wanted to read one of the books. This one was chosen randomly from what the library had available (nothing more recent than book 16). Listened to the first half on audio (a slog, I acknowledge I am not the market), read the second half. Overall very dry and repetitive with simple prose.

Won’t be reading any more of the books, but I do look forward to more seasons of the series. (And I can see why Tom Cruise did not make a good Reacher)
